“Setting is lovely but quiet. Need to drive some 7 miles for foods . Owner very personable and informative. Perhaps cafe was open on our arrival day, it might be easier. Overall we had a nice stay.”

“The property was stunning and in a great quiet location next to a small steam yet close enough to drive for a carry out if you don,t feel like cooking. It had all you could wish for from a kitchen that contained everything you could require, two log fires, great wifi and netflix/amazon on the TV. Anthony was a great host and a nice bloke. ”

“Wow! The photos don't do the place justice, its amazing! The communication and access are easy, on arrival a lady showed me the place, there's a set of 4 or 5 together which are seperate from the tourers etc. Theres nothing you don't need inside, shower, toilet, sink, microwave, kettle, toaster etc and all top branded quality stuff. The units are very new and modern and have been decorated to the highest standard. The views are to die for and its a few minutes drive into Forfar. Cant wait to use……

“Lovely little property in the heart of rural Scotland: however, the property hadn't been cleaned or the beds changed prior to our arrival! We contacted the owner who informed us a cleaner would be with us by 10am the following day. We arrived at the property at 8pm on a Sunday night, after a five hour drive and spent the next two hours cleaning the kitchen and bathroom but still had no beds to sleep in so the sofa had to do for the first night. “Our stay was excellent in all respects. Lynda's communications were good and we found the cottage spacious, very well fitted out; beautifully decorated and ABSOLUTELY clean. The welcome basket was very generous and the provisions such as hand soap luxurious. The cottage contained everything that one could want and more. “We stayed in this lovely flat in the pretty village of Edzell for one week. It is spotlessly clean, comfortable, well equipped and in a perfect location. We had great walks in the village and beyond and the park across the road was ideal for our young Labrador. We would definitely recommend it. Many thanks.”

“Could not recommend this accommodation enough - a real hidden gem! Massive, secure 2 bedroom apartment in a wider bunkhouse complex which was, when we stayed, not occupied. Only 5 mins drive from Kirriemuir and so quiet and peaceful - in the heart of the countryside. Comms were great and all mod cons throughout including WiFi, TVs in all rooms and even a starter hamper! Will definitely book again. The dog loved the outdoor space which is literally ‘on your doorstep’! A+”

“The booking process was awful 3 websites and 1.5 hours on the phone to get our payment accepted. However, once in Edzell, we were more than happy with the welcome and friendliness shown by Alan. The house was exactly as stated. It suited us perfectly; was comfortable, spacious in bedroom and sitting room; lovely bathroom etc We would certainly recommend it. The local area was also beautiful and wonderful for cycling.”

“Wir haben unsere Sommerferien hier zu zweit verbracht. Der Aufenthalt mit mehr als zwei Personen dürfte schwierig sein, da es am Esstisch und am Sofa dann eng wird. Gewöhnungsbedürftig ist die Bedienung der Steckdosen und der Dusche. Der Heizkörper im Wohnzimmer war leider defekt und wir mussten den Heizlüfter nutzen. Die Fußbodenheizung im Bad blieb am Wochenende kalt. Unsere Versuche das zu ändern waren leider erfolglos. Wir haben eine Kaffeemaschine vermisst. Die Fenster im Wohnzimmer, im Bad……
