“Fabulous place. Very modern rooms in a cute pub. Lovely pub environment for our evening meal with a good menu including local fish. We had to leave early (5am) and they put out a small breakfast for us which was much appreciated. You need to book your evening meal. Highly recommonded.”

“The accommodation was fine. Perfectly adequate. What was annoying is that my debit card was charged an additional amount, above the Expedia price, on the day I arrived. I pointed this out and as told it was a mistake and it would be refunded. It still hasn't been, 6 weeks later, and my emails/telephone calls go unanswered. Not good, Polochar Inn. Not good. ”

Beds are very comfortable, and this location is incredibly quiet, so you are guaranteed a perfect night's sleep. The wildlife on Lewis is amazing - this year we actually watched Black-throated Divers courting on the loch whilst sat at the dining table, and then 3 Cuckoos in a chase around the trees in the front garden, plus……

“This was the first time that the place we'd booked turned out to be even more beautiful and spacious than it appeared in the photos! A 10 minute walk from a gorgeous beach, mobile grocery delivery, a lovely coffee shop down the road, a sustainable local stall in the other direction, just steps from the cottage, with a view of a beautiful mountain and bay from the living room and kitchen. This house has just about every amenity and extra you could want. Thank you for a brilliant stay, and we look……
