"We loved staying at the Trailhead by Weekender. Easy getting into the room, wonderful bed, clean and quiet. I loved that there were no spiders or bugs in the room! The only thing I would suggest is to have a lighter blanket available rather than just the heavy comforter - it took us until the second night to figure out the A/C and Heat in the room and the first night I was very warm. I loved the decor and the black ceiling! We'll stay again! Diane Hecht"

"This is a pretty special property. The views are incredible, the home is cozy and well-maintained, and the property is located just 5 minutes from downtown Tupper Lake and 25 minutes to Saranac Lake (we spent time in both)! I fished both full days we were there. I launched from the property with my fishing kayak one day. My wife used one of the provided kayaks one day. The second day I launched about 1.25 miles up the road at a DEC boat launch. We had a great time and I highly recommend."

"My family and I enjoyed our stay here. The location was good, 20 mins or less to Saranac, about 30 or so mins to Lake Placid mirror lake. The house was clean and kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Beds were comfortable, heating was more than adequate. The yard and lake access was fun. Snow was pretty much untouched and the kids loved sledding, playing with their trucks, walking on the frozen lake and trying to make their best snow angels. We had the whole lake to ourselves and it was great to see my kids play in snow. Sam was responsive as a host, there was an issue that popped up randomly with the water and I notified him via the app. He called me and connected me with the caretaker of the house and, the guy was on his way and fixed the issue. Definitely would stay here again whenever we come back to the area."

"A quick two day/one night trip to see the Town and Wild Center. The accommodations were clean. easy to find and just what we needed. Hosts were nice, made themselves available although we and the space needed nothing"

"Our family of five has been going up to the Adirondacks for a four or five night winter getaway for the last several years. This was the second time we stayed at this property. It offers a rustic feeling, room for each of our kids to have some privacy, a well stocked kitchen and a nice family gathering space to watch Netflix, build a puzzle or play a game. Groceries, a few decent restaurants, and a couple of nice short hikes are just a short drive away. Several items had been updated since our prior visit."
