“We recently enjoyed a delightful weekend getaway at Chapelton Cottage. The cottage itself is charming and impeccably clean. It has everything we needed for a relaxing stay, including a cozy fireplace, a comfortable bed, a fully-equipped kitchen and many other extras. We were fortunate with the weather and spent most of the evening time outside enjoying a BBQ and the massive firepit. The location was perfect for anyone seeking a getaway from the hustle and bustle and we would highly recommend……

“De woning is ruim en ligt rustig gelegen. Vanuit de woning loop je zo de natuur in. De eigenaren zijn zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De wifi ontvangst is prima om aan de behoefte van 2 pubers te voldoen. De slaapkamer en woonkamer is up-to date. De badkamer en toilet is zeer ruim en kan wel een update gebruiken. Ook de apart keuken is ruim en er is veel servies en bestek aanwezig.”

“There was nothing to like. The area was dirty, unsafe. The host and VRBO would not reply to us to let us in. We were left without a place to stay at 6 PM at nite and had to drive all the way back to Glasgow for accommodations. Extremely disappointed in Expedia and VRBO for leaving us stranded. Be aware! ”

“A wonderful cosy cottage near Kinross. The cottage was well equipped with very comfortable furnishings. We enjoyed meeting the owners who were very kind and friendly. Lots to see and do in the area. Easy access to Perth or Edinburgh by train or bus.We enjoyed the outside patio with lovely views of tranquil farmland.”

“We have been coming to this area once or twice a year for 23 years. My son and his family, live in the area. We are from the United States. We prefer the self catering rather than the bed and breakfast type places because we are jet lagged and tend to sleep in. We also don’t eat a large breakfast. So this type of stay allows us to not bother our family and we have all the comforts of home. It also serves as a home base so we can have day trips and have a place to come back to and rest. “House was excellent but description of garden and surroundings including the “spectacular views” was totally misrepresented. The garden and surroundings would be better described as an “overgrown wilderness.” The main website page showing the views of the garden and immediate surroundings are extremely misleading and bear no resemblance to the reality,”

“Ideal location with charming village area nearby. Easy walk to local pub and to the water. Flat was spacious and well equipped; but could have used a bit more maintenance and some air freshener (near the sea, so a bit of a damp, musty smell). It was a bit farther from central Edinburg (~40 min) than I had expected; but the quaint village feel of the area was well worth the few extra minutes drive. All in all a nice place to support local sight seeing and day trips.”

“It's an interesting old building. Decor in my room was dated but bathroom more modern and bed very comfortable. The main restaurant looks a bit Butlins but the food in the bar was excellent on both nights. My second night was ruined by noisy occupants of 206, starting at around 2:30 and they left at around 5:30. Not at all sure they were guests. Had to leave 1 day early and reported the above. No comment. Doubt I will return to Perth but would certainly consider staying here as the location is……

“This was a last minute booking. We got our room for a very good price even by budget hotel standards. It was a no frills hotel but staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the setting was so peaceful. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Our dog loved exploring around the race course (not a race day) despite the weather. ”
