"I stayed there with my husband and we found the staff very accommodating and helpful. The property is close to downtown SJO and within walking distance to many attractions. There was always a taxi on stand-by so getting to further attractions was easy. The room was large and they cleaned and restocked toiletries daily. The gym was a little small but ample if you’re into maintaining your routine Overall a great experience. "

"The property would benefit from a higher maintenance. For instance the "new" restaurant is not even finished. This hotel used to be "fresher and neater" . Staff is always friendly, helpful and efficient. "

"I stayed at Costa Rica Guesthouse twice - the beginning and end of my solo trip because i liked it so much! The location was great for walking to local attractions and driving to the airport. The free parking was perfect. The staff was great and super helpful and the room was spacious!"

"The shower water was not even warm… had to be adjusted by maintenance . Also the front staff was not very friendly. Lastly room is hot when you enter always have to turn air on. It would be good if they update to tv that allows you to cast. I speak only English and works like to be able to watch tv during stay. The best part of the hotel is the food! It was very good and the staff was very helpful & kind. "

"Room was a good size, very clean, good air condition, large bright windows, comfy double bed, clean bathroom with hot shower, tv worked fine many English channels, felt secure, and quiet, decent breakfast in the morning, helpful friendly staff. Location convenient where Paseo Colon meets Avenida Central close to Central Market. The area requires caution at night. Overall was pleased with the hotel which offers a lot for the relatively inexpensive price, my girlfriend and I would definitely go...
