“My 2nd stay & apart from the noise which you can’t get away from these days, this place is an excellent stop £45 for B&B you can’t beat it. I used the restaurant & the meal was ok but I wouldn’t have it again (cheese onion pie real chips & peas). Make sure you ask for a room on the main level. ”

“Restaurant is still good and well maintained but room and all the other areas really need to be renovated.”

“Electric charging cable available and family room with proper single bed and not a sofa bed. Some issues on the night, where some guests couldn’t get into room and was noisy outside the room whilst they tried to sort it oout”

“What can I say. Our stay was one of the best, if not the best stay I have ever had. I love this hotel. Beautiful grounds, beautiful food, beautiful building. I want to give a special mention to Thomas and Flo on reception. They were incredible. Breakfast to go was ready for 5.00am (we were hiking the three peaks) and nothing was too much for these two staff. Flo was so helpful and friendly and Thomas was such a delight to deal with. The spa: WOW! Pricey but worth it. Wonderful. I’ll see this……

“We really enjoyed our one-night stay at the inn. We managed to snag an amazing deal at half the usual rate. Our 2-bedroom room was very clean - only a couple of snags were experienced. The first sleeping area had no bedside lighting and the second had no accessible mains supply! The breakfast included was excellent. The setting for the inn is fantastic - lovely area to walk around.”

“Clean comfortable and very quiet. Not noticeably busy at all. Rather dated interior & no food served at the hotel. No breakfast lunches or evening meals despite notices outside saying hotel has a restaurant. It doesn’t. Nevertheless it offers reasonable comfortable sleeping accommodation and there are cafe’s & restaurants within a short distance. ”

“We loved this property. The location was wonderful and out of the way enough to feel like we were on a nice holiday. The staff was nice and helpful. The pool was delightful. We used the laundry facilities, too. Bed was a bit uncomfortable. ”

“I have stayed here multiple times and every time it exceeds my expectations! It has a beautiful rustic decor and maintains the charm of the original building, it’s a really quirky place to stay! The only thing I will say is that I’m not a fan of paying to park however, the hotel is definitely reasonably priced for the standard of room! I look forward to staying again many more times in the future”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Calf’s Head, Clitheroe. We attended a wedding at a venue not far from here, so it was a great location for us. All the staff were helpful and friendly and the downstairs bar/dining was an asset to our stay. We both enjoyed a lovely full English the morning after with the option of fruit, cereals and yoghurts. The outdoor space here is gorgeous so would definitely recommend going here to enjoy it on a nice day. The only criticism I can give is that the……
