“The recidense experience was far beyond my expectation. Room was very spacious with almost all necessary facility ready, wifi was superior unlike some other hotels in isle of skye. Moreover, the hotel has a unique view of sunset. Imagine how’s the feeling when u gasp a glass of whisky looking at the sun dips into the sea right out side the lounge. Food generally ok.”

“Loved our time here. It was so quiet and restful. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed seeing rabbits and sheep close by. A special treat was watching the golden pheasants outside while we ate dinner and breakfast. The staff were super friendly. ”

“The hotel is kind of remote from the Main street of Portree; on the other hand, it’s very quiet and peaceful so that the visitors can fully enjoy the beauty of nature in Isle Skye. The room we stay is pretty simple but it’s clean and tidy. Most important of all, we have the great view of lake. Cloe, the front desk staff, shows her hospitality to make our stay even better.”

“Great option for accommodations . The pod set up for sleeping, preparing meals and bathroom facilities all in one . Great set up for location dining option nearby and community nature walks all in reach by car or walking . Would have staying longer if I could , next time . Hosts has all the basics in the pod teas coffees and salt pepper . Just bring easy meal options and your set . Thanks ”

“It's a super wonderful experience for me and my wife staying here. Ian and Christine are really treating guests with their thoughtful hearts. An attached private lounge for us is a big wow surprise, way beyond our expectations. We enjoyed the comfy bed and delicious breakfast very much! Ian also recommended us some hidden gem locations which we added in our itinerary, it's eye-opening and give us super different experience. We love this place and regretted not booking more days here and look……

“I loved the boathouse...it was a beautifully rural location...it is next to a working boat yard...but it wasnt noisy..water has such a calming effect..the stay relaxed us so much...its a perfect stay if you want to switch off from the world for a little bit...i would definitely go back again.. “The location is great in Uig and have a great view of the harbour . Its worth for the price. Check in at the Uig hotel just nearby, very close. However the dinner of the restaurant of the Uig hotel is not good. Not recommended to have meals there.”

“Jane was an amazing hostess! The night we arrived, she prepared us tea and delicious strawberry crumpets, it was a lovely gesture after the journey getting to her lovely house. Her breakfasts were wonderful and she was very helpful in helping us decide which hikes/walks to do while on Skye. I cannot recommend this place enough - room was spacious and very clean, good sized bathroom too. Our room had a mini fridge that she stocked daily with some water, pops, etc. Quiet place to stay as well. I……

“Quaint cottage directly on the Loch Bay. Clean and comfortable. Garden with seating and table. Stone beach with water access. Found many pieces of colorful pottery and glassware! There are two restaurants, one is Loch Bay which is Michelin awarded. Weeks wait to get a reservation. The other is Stein. Reservations suggested. No other food, so stop at a Co-O prior to arriving!”

“We chose this VRBO to stay for a few days while attending a wedding in Skye. Wish it was a few weeks! Great remote oceanside location with the highland coo's next door. Yurteancoffee close by and a quick trip to Dunvegan for restaurants.”
