“We had a great time there! The garden and the pool are beautiful. In the outside you can feel really private, because the hole property is fenced in. Only one of the sleeping rooms is not as nice as the other two, it is dark and smells like an wet cellar.”

“LOVED the property and surrounding area (even the windy 1 lane road up!) Get snqcks and food beforehand if you dont have a car! Its hard to get a taxi and is really not walker friendly (narrow, curvy road up/downhill) BUT, the quiet. The scenery. The songbirds. TOTALLY set the scene for 1st bisit to Italy! Would definitely stay again!”

“Das Haus liegt in Zanca ca. 160 m über Seehöhe im Nordwesten von Elba, ziemlich abgeschieden. Bis zum Stand von St. Andrea geht man bergab ca. 15-20 Minuten, bergauf ist es besonders bei höheren Temperaturen schon recht anstrengend. Einen kleinen Lebensmittelmarkt gibt es in ca. 150 m Entfernung, einen Bäcker in ca. 500 m Entfernung (bergab). Die Hausausstattung ist unterdurchschnittlich. Es ist weder eine elektr. Kaffeemaschine noch ein Toaster vorhanden. Küchenutensilien sind einfacher Art.……

“The host was very welcoming upon arrival and gave us a great tour of the property along with some area history. Such a peaceful setting. Really enjoyed the patio upstairs off the bedroom. Great views of the terrain by day and fantastic views of the stars at night. Very close to the enchanting villages on hilltops nearby (Rigamagno and Scrofiano).”

“I don't have the words to describe how wonderful Villa Poggio is! The perfect location--just far enough from Florence to feel you're in the countryside but close enough that it's easy to get to. “This villa is AMAZING!!! We had a group of 6 adults but EASILY could have fit 4 more. Coming from the US, this is the epitome of what we Americans envision Tuscany to be. We still can not believe how little we paid for the week, this would have easily been 3 times the amount in the US. The villa is surrounded by vineyards and Olive orchards; the only downfall was the massive amount of stink bugs that were out this time of year. We even brought one home with us ;). “We had an amazing week at Villa Alfresco - the property was amazing, especially the pool. Guiseppe the property manager was a star - he cooked for us three times and it was delicious and helped us with everything we needed. The area is also spectacular - the medeival town nearby is charming and full of great options and the house provides a good jumping off point to explore tuscany.”

“Wir waren positiv überrascht. Der Weg zu der Unterkunft war atemberaubend, nur das hätte sich schon gelohnt hinzufahren. Die Aussicht von der Unterkunft war auch wunderschön. Die Unterkunft selbst war gut und wir konnten uns bequem aufteilen aber man verbringt den Aufenthalt sowieso meistens drausen. Es gibt viele Ausflugsmöglichkeiten. Was mir gefehlt hat waren paar mehr Mülleimer, wir haben im Cottage auf drei Stockwerke nur einen gehabt. Ich würde diese Unterkunft auf jedenfall noch mal……

“First let me say that the property exceeded our very high expectations…. The pictures don’t do this villa justice. The Mountain View’s from the infinity pool were breathtaking. The wine yard below the pool was a bonus. Olive trees were above the pool area making you feel you are in Italy. This villa is totally secluded, can’t see any neighbors, extremely private for guests.
