“My parents and mother-in-law stayed here for a weekend to celebrate their granddaughter's graduation! It was perfect. I didn't think we understood the space was a basement but, it was completely as described and had everything we needed. The back patio is truly a wonderful little sanctuary. Highly recommended.”

It is quiet, with a parking spot, and we would stay here again for our next trip. For folks who like to sleep in, bring a sleep mask as the morning sun does filter through the blinds. The owners live in the big house, and respond quickly with any questions.”

“The apartment was everything we expected. What you see in the pictures is absolutely accurate. The outside garden/side yard was just beautiful! Bob always answered any questions in a timely manner and was available by phone if we needed. The house is located in a wonderful neighborhood. We went for a long weekend and was able to walk to the park. Uber is readily available if you don't rent a car. We highly recommend this apartment and hope to stay here again in the future.”

“When David built this basement apartment, he did not spare expense. The design and the quality of materials, fixtures and appliances is top notch. Not to mention the top of the line Sony projector, movie screen and surround sound. It feels like you are in a theater. Of course now we are spoiled at home with our puny big screen LOL. “Clean place. Good to note the train track is on one end & the planes from PDX fly straight over. With that typed, it was fun watching the trains! The sound did not get in the way of our sleep in the nice cozy bed. Nice little snacks & bottled water was a lovely touch! Bao was very responsive, thoughtful & generous helping us get wood for the fireplace. Restaurants were in easy walking distance. The garage was a lovely touch with an extra parking permit as well. “My mom and I stayed here to attend a concert in Portland. This place is well cared for. It is secluded, quiet, and peaceful. The room is beautiful and everything was very clean. There were snacks, water, and coffee in the room - the host really thought of everything. There is a space heater/fan in the room to control the temperature. “We (i.e., me, my wife, my sister and her husband) stayed at this property during our week-long visit to Portland in mid-May 2024. This house was just lovely and very spacious for the four of us. The interior of the house has beautiful Craftsman-style woodwork throughout. It's also in a great residential neighborhood with easy access to all Portland has to offer. The owners live on the second floor, but we rarely saw or heard them. We felt like we were alone in our own little home. Nicely……

“Went to Portland on a business trip for a week, this apartment was just what we needed. Safe neighborhood with plenty of parking. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby, but we didn't use them as most meals during my trip were provided at my event. Everything was what was advertised. Clean and well equipped. Wife loved the shower...now wants one. Was a wonderful stay. We don't plan on returning to Portland any time soon, but if we do, we will stay here again.”
