“Our stay at Washington Square Hotel was good. This is definitely an older hotel, but the room was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. The location can't be beat, either. Would stay here again if we were looking for a hotel in this area! ”

“There was a lot of construction in the building next to the hotel. It made it difficult to get on and out. Parking was also am issue. ”

“Good location. Close to World Trade Center Memorial, Wall Street and Battery Park. Staff was very nice in the face of a hectic event weekend.”

“Can’t beat the location. Right in the heart of SoHo/Nolita and walking distance to West Village etc. Bars and restaurants everywhere. Room was teeny tiny though! Balcony not much use for us as it rained during our stay pretty much every day. Cool hotel decor and very nice staff. Would recommend!”

“One of the less expensive hotels in the area. Friendly staff and clean and large rooms. Dollar for dollar, it is much better value that some more expensive hotels in the area. One downside, they used to provide free continental breakfast. It is not the case now. Still it is a good value.”

“Pro—Very cheerful and helpful desk and housekeeping staff. Convenient to most of the sights we wanted to see in Manhattan. Cons—only two slow, small elevators to serve both guest and housekeeping staff. Only one ice machine for guests and it is located in the cellar, we had to go down and back up 36 floors on slow and usually crowded elevators just to get a bucket of ice. ”
