“Clean upscale hotel with friendly staff and a great bar ”

“We had a lovely 3-day stay. The cabin is beautiful and the pictures represent it well. The picture window overlooking the lake is a glorious way to start a morning, and the deck and fire pit are wonderful ways to take in the lake in a quiet setting. We also enjoyed the beach a short walk away. The location is great- a mile or so outside of town and close to hiking trails. The kitchen was clean and fully outfitted to cook, and we took advantage of that a lot. We’d happily stay again.”

“My family and I enjoyed our stay here. The location was good, 20 mins or less to Saranac, about 30 or so mins to Lake Placid mirror lake. The house was clean and kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Beds were comfortable, heating was more than adequate. The yard and lake access was fun. Snow was pretty much untouched and the kids loved sledding, playing with their trucks, walking on the frozen lake and trying to make their best snow angels. We had the whole lake to ourselves and it was……

“We loved the Hotel Saranac. It is a beautiful old hotel located in the downtown area just steps away from shops and restaurants. Be forewarned, the rooms are small, but filled with charm, well appointed and very comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant is very good and well worth a visit. We will definitely be back.”

“My family and I were looking for a cozy winter getaway to relax and enjoy time together. This hit the mark! I will say if you have mobility issues, this is a bit tricky to reach the door in the snow. My mother-in-law needed lots of help. It was slick and the path to the front door was loose rocks. It snowed overnight and was hard to find the path to shovel in the morning. Aside of this, it was a perfect stay. The home was clean and the layout was perfect. We loved having a fireplace to warm up……
