“This is a really fun location right on King street. Highly recommend. The room is like an efficiency apartment, very cool. We just used the fridge but there is cookware and glass cups. It is a homey kind of feel. We used the dishes and used the sink for daily washing. This apartment is right in the middle of a busy street. So it is pretty lively until after midnight. “We like this property however when we arrived there was about five plies of toilet paper left in the bathroom. When I texted to ask for more I was told they could not provide “extra” toilet paper. So as soon as we arrived at the hotel to check in and drop off our luggage, we immediately had to go to a grocery store to buy toilet paper. It was very odd and inconvenient ”

“This was a great option fo traveling in the DC area with two families. We did not receive an email with check-in instructions, but the folks at Hosteeva were very kind and helpful when I called. Unfortunately, we were given the wrong door codes, and our room was being cleaned when we arrived at 4. “This was in a perfect location for our stay and it had plenty of room for the whole fam. The house is within walking distance to the Metro station and we went back and forth into the city using the metro 4 times in just the 48 hours we were there. Super easy!! The neighborhood is very quiet and safe. The home comfortably slept 8 adults and there was room for more. The host was easy to get in touch with! We were concerned about parking a 3rd car but easily found street parking right out front.……

“The cottage is exactly as described. There is convertible bed in the living room area on the entry level that fits two comfortably. I found it to be plenty comfortable. Once I set up the bed, I left it that way, rather than folding it up during the day. The bathroom is also on the entry level. “This place is a small cottage in the back yard of a suburban home. The cottage is very small with a combined bedroom/kitchen and not much room to sit, but there is a large back yard for when the weather is good. The kitchen is limited, but there is an outdoor barbecue which we made use of. Jerry was easy to communicate with, and the price for the DC area was excellent. It would be difficult to stay here without a car.”

“Great, central neighborhood with a lot to offer. Clean property. Very lengthy signing process (lease agreement, etc), which I haven't had to do before. I asked managing company for recommendations for NYE activities and did not receive any. Netflix on TV did not work. It kept shutting down. Other than that, it was a fun stay.”

“This home was very beautiful. We had little to no issues. There was a misunderstanding about how the heating/cooling system worked. The owner was very attentive to any and every need we had. He was very quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. I wish he would've disclosed in advance that he would be residing in the basement during our stay. It may the stay a little awkward. Please ask lots of questions before booking to eliminate certain surprises. Other than that, I would recommend……

“We spent a wonderful long weekend here during Historic Garden Week. The house is cozy and comfortable, attractively decorated and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need, including off-street parking. It’s conveniently located within walking distance of the heart of Old Town Alexandria and Washington, DC is a short ride away by metro or car and you can take a water taxi for a more scenic route.”
