“A lovely old Hotel with quirky decor, centrally situated in the town and convenient for shops and dining.
Only slight downside was the limited parking which left you unsure of a space if you arrive late in the afternoon or evening. ”
“Poor service upon arrive from girl on reception’s
She had wandered off to the bar to chat. Leaving my elderley parents waiting at reception, calling the hotel and unable to check in until they went to find her. They reported she was rude and unhelpful.
Room was good, comfy beds and nice area. ”
“A fabulous property within the Peak District National Park, serving good food & beer, but also easily accessed from Sheffield too. A short drive from the Ladybower Dam for Dambuster fans & the Snake Pass for those who may enjoy the drive to Glossop & back !”
“Superb historic building with old world charm. Staff friendly and helpful. Serve yourself breakfast excellent with quality local sausages.
We loved the lift!”
“Excellent room, spotlessly clean throughout. All the staff on reception/cafe are enthusiastic and helpful. Lovely layout on the ground floor, lots of places to chill. TV has access to a range of streaming channels. Breakfast pastries excellent ”
“We were welcomed and the room was clean and the beds really comfortable, nice walk from the door but also lots of gorgeous quaint villages within short drives. The food was good and no issue with parking at all. ”
“This is a beautiful hotel with lovely, helpful people. Very accommodating, friendly and professional. The design details are beautiful in each room with bold, flowered patterns: not fussy but modern and lively. ”
“Everything about this place is perfect, the views are breathtaking, the property is incredible, the breakfast was delicious, the staff are fantastic… 10/10, will certainly be coming back”
“Lovely. We will definitely be back. The food was really special as was the wine and service. We paid for the deluxe king room and the bathroom was really lovely my only slight gripe was the room didn’t feel especially roomy or deluxe however the bathroom did make up for this as it was gorgeous. Not a complaint but I think I wouldn’t pay the extra for the deluxe room when I come back which I definitely will be doing. It’s worth it for the food and service alone as well as the beautiful scenery. ”
“A characterful pub with a lovely beer garden by a little stream. Delicious breakfast. Friendly staff.
Within walking distance to shops and cafes and the path leading up to walks up to Stanage Edge.”
“Recommended.
Welcoming & comfortable.
We would visit again if in the area.
Advice: Since the property is accessed by country lanes we suggest planning your travel during daylight hours.”
“We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and very helpful. Our room was very nice and comfortable and the four poster bed was lovely as well. The food at the hotel is very nice and very well priced and the real ales are superb. Although they don’t do breakfast there are plenty of places to get breakfast, we used Ye Old Nags Head and for £10.95 it was value for money. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at The Peak Hotel and will be staying……
“Very comfortable overnight stay prior our journey to Manchester Airport a typical farmhouse B&B comfortable in our room and nice.. comfortable bed , good attention to detail was there. ”
