“Quite Excellent. from book in by Karen at reception who upgraded us - to the gym and pool staff (notably Caelan), to the restaurant staff, Joe, Cara and Eloise who provided an excellent service from the dining room - carvery and take away meals. The reception staff were always helpful (Debbie). We had a truly wonderful experience in a large and clean lodge. Minutes walk from the beach. Plenty of activities on site for both adults and children. equipment for these activities on hand and……

“The room was well equipped and very clean. The Hotel was not fully open for the season and Breakfast was provided by the ‘Rising Sun’ ( sister inn). Which we were unaware of prior to arrival. ”

“Located in a lovely setting but starting to look a bit tired throughout. We booked an upgraded room so two nights cost £355.00 Bed and breakfast which I don’t feel was good value. We have stayed in a much nicer hotel with that amount of budget. The room was OK but things like a shower over the bath with a rather tired curtain were not what we had expected. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately I felt the experience didn’t live up to our expectations……

There was a low carb, low GI meal available which was both welcome and extremely tasty. Breakfast was a feast and set us up for the day. Highly recommend this hotel.”

“Stopped here overnight whilst walking the South West Coast Path. Very clean and comfortable room with everything I needed after 16 miles of walking and ahead of 20 miles the next day! Lovely period hotel, fabulous sash windows, high ceiling, warm and cosy room, really nice feel to the place. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. Extensive breakfast menu, all cooked to order. I had a delicious vegetarian breakfast. Would highly recommend. ”

“Beautiful location. Very dog friendly. We had a king size room overlooking the harbour. It was up a few flights of stairs but this was not an issue for us. Use of guest pantry which was a lovely touch. Very good breakfast menu. All staff were very friendly and helpful. ”

“Great location, easy to find, short drive to the beach. Garage with shop just round the corner 😁. Everything you need is provided in the property. Had no issues with any of the heating or hot water. Will definitely return in the future. I will add that the pictures don't do the property justice, much bigger then it looks. Very comfortable bed slept very well just what we needed a well earned rested getaway. Highly recommended”
