"The room was very clean and comfortable. However, it would have been nice to have a refrigerator and also an air conditioner since it can get very warm and the ceiling fan alone does not cool the room down. The staff and owners are super friendly and very attentive. We left very early in the morning and the lady working in the kitchen (I believe her name was Gira) offered to prepare us some sandwiches, which super nice of her. "We were genuinely sad we only had one night to stay at Banana Azul! Check in was quick and efficient and friendly. The fresh coconut was a lovely treat. The Howler Suite was charming and the view magical. The food in the restaurant was delicious. I highly recommend Banana Azul if you want an authentic Costa Rica experience that’s right on the Playa Negra beach. I’ll definitely be returning. "
