The hotel is clean and I love that it did not have a funky smell at all like some hotels I’ve stayed at. The beds were so comfy and the check in and check out process was smooth and the staff nice and friendly.
Proximity to 90 worried me with having a patio but with the door closed you couldn’t hear the highway traffic at all!
What I didn’t care for was the deposit for “incidentals” which is outlined as mini bar, parking and “etc”….we did not use parking as we came in on the train. Also, absolutely no mini bar was in the room we booked. Also, we would have had to leave the hotel for any food so it was nice that Walgreens is right there for snacks and Fresh Market immediately across the street. The bar/restaurant is evidently closed on weekends, which is odd but I’m sure there is a reason.
We were not informed if there were any amenities like a pool or fitness center so I assume there isn’t either. Also the TV selection left a lot to be desired so thankfully my daughter and I were too exhausted to care when we got into our room.
Also, I just received an attempt to charge my card directly from the location for $15 more dollars than I paid to Expedia (card I used at the property for my deposit) even though I used a different card when paying Expedia directly for the room.
I would stay here again due to proximity to Union Station, the beds, friendly staff and how quiet our stay was however I know for next time to come more prepared with snacks once we are in for the night.
