“A little pricey for me, and the house itself I would rate as funky but chic, but its right on the creek with beautiful views and a short drive to town. Eagles flying about. Kayaks, etc. Should have brought my boat but its 800 miles to where i live. We went in late March, would be great in the warm months. I give it a 4 out of 5. Do it.”

“This B&B provided what was probably the best B&B experience we have ever had. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated, as were the public rooms. and our bed was very comfortable. Adequate parking was available in the rear of the property. The breakfast food was amazing. Innkeepers Tracy and Gretchen Du Peza could not have been nicer, especially when we missed the usual check in time by several hours. The rate was more than reasonable. We will certainly stay at the Benjamin Ellis House……

“We had not been to New Bern in 35 years! -So great to have this condo as a base to rediscover this lovely city. The unit was right in the middle of all the cute shops, restaurants, bars & bears! ArtWalk was going on Friday night. We also loved getting steps in at Tryon Palace & waterfront parks and paths. Instructions for parking & checking in to unit came quickly. The condo itself was beautiful with high ceilings and view of the clock tower. Beds were comfortable, towels fluffy, and kitchen was……

“This location was wonderful. Everything was walkable. There was plenty of space for two people to use the two bedrooms and spend time relaxing in the living room. Just a note, if you have mobility problems, such as climbing stairs this would not be a good choice.”

“Apartment was in a perfect spot for enjoying downtown. The info about the stairs was helpful in that it is a very long set of stairs to the apartments. Owner was struggling with some rooftop fan noise but was very accommodating and concerned about its impact on us and was working to correct it. It is a renovated historic building. Parking was not an issue for us and there is parking around back, but it’s a little tricky to find at first without instructions. Overall a great spot and with family……
