“This is a gorgeous manor house in the heart of the Dordogne Valley next to the river. The views are spectacular and the gardens are beautiful. Be sure to get the breakfast because it is a feast of local flavors. Wonderful hosts who can make excellent dining recommendations. Worth the money for a once in a lifetime experience. ”

“Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette demeure, nous étions 4 couples et avoir une salle de bain dans chacune des 4 chambres était vraiment top. Mis à part les chaînes T.V. en anglais, un manque de casseroles ou gros récipient pour faire à manger pour 8, l'équipement est complet. Bel espace de vie, magnifique exterieur. Très belle région, plein de choses à faire et à voir. Les habitants sont très sympathiques commerçants ou particuliers. Beau souvenir. Je recommande fortement.”

“very well furnished house for a large group. With friends and family staying in the vicinity, we were able to have up to 25 people for a dinner or a lunch without too much effort. Everything is very simple, but in the winter with all the coats and shoes, we lacked space to put things away or hang them. The heating was barely coping with the vast spaces, luckily it wasn't too cold. The kitchen is fantastic, and overall we had a great Christmas time.”

“A lovely welcome from our property manager and the caretaker was very helpful when we had a medical problem with one of the teenagers. The pool was well looked-after although the sunbeds had seen better days and need new cushions as there weren't any. The property was large and fitted our family of 14 comfortably. A few more fans in the bedrooms needed and velux windows that open for more ventilation. Lots of interesting villages and markets nearby to visit and kayaking and paddleboarding down……

“We are two families 4 adults and 4 children (age 6-10) and have recently stayed for 1 week at Chateau Madame. Our first view of the chateau was from its imposing position on the hillside which could be seen from several kilometres away basking in the evening sun as we approached. There is a 400m meandering drive up the hillside toward Chateau Madame that provides a secluded and safe setting.
