“The hotel is clean and quiet. Room is cozy and well decorated. However, it is a pity that there is no lift in the hotel, we had to carry luggages to the 1st floor. The restauant is great and the view is wonderful. ”

“Small room and somewhat dated decor; the shower was poor. I did have thecsmallest and cheapest room. However, a really comfortable bed and crisp bedding. The staff were fantastic, proper old school attentive and friendly. The breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked for you. My son is a student and lives in Edinburgh, I asked if he could join me for breakfast. Not only did they say yes, they said there was no charge - how nice is that? I used this as a scouting visit to see if I will come……

“I originally thought it would be a guesthouse quality in terms of cleanliness, but turned out it’s even cleaner than a hotel especially the bathroom. Everything looks new in the bathroom with a lot of towels available and the shower gel, shampoo etc. Reception is very nice and location is near bus stops where you can get to Edinburgh centre quite easily.”

“Overall good place to stay. One suggestion, they should write clearly at the front desk to go next door restaurant for the check-in. I waited good 20 mins, ringing the bell next to the shut-down reception window and no one responded. Finally just walked up to next door to inquire and found that’s where the check-in happens. The guy was very friendly though. Good that we arrived before the restaurant closed. Not sure what happens when a guest shows up after the next door restaurant closes (I……

“很有历史的一家酒店，也是入住后看餐厅里的资料才知道还有个鬼屋传说。闹鬼的马厩已经改装成大厅，还可以承接婚礼。周围是农场，很美，但是没有什么可转的地方。住宿的价格是非常实惠了，但是餐厅不便宜。菜做得很像样，进餐前在酒吧尝了杯scotch，好喝。”
