"I stayed at this property as part of a 2 week break to Scotland and to prepare for the Edinburgh marathon. The staff were friendly and efficient, choice of food in the Restaurant was good and I used the gym and swimming pool which were also very good! The hotel is a 10 minute walk from Portobello beach and either a long walk or bus you are into the centre where all the attractions are. "

"The grounds are absolutely stunning. Lots of walking/hiking paths into beautiful wooded areas. The grounds make the experience so peaceful. All of the staff were very kind and helpful. Our room faced the garden and it was lovely. The room description did not mention the flight of stairs in our room. That would have been helpful to know. "

"Very welcoming and conveniently located. Bit of a glitch on day two of my stay however they were very apologetic and resolved the problem immediately. My advice is reconfirm your check out day on check in. Also be aware after 8 pm the building is locked and you enter through keyless entry."

"Location is much better than it shows or is advertised. Walk to major sites is fine, walk through Hollyrood Pk is also shout and great about a mile to city. Very good pubs within 3 min walk. Parking. Bathroom very large so nice to have a little room after 14 days in England."
