“Property & room were well appointed and maintained. Room seating was uncomfortable as sofa was a sleeper and chair was stiff, but really, most time is spent out of the room. No AC so we were hot when outside temps were in the 50’sF. In fairness this is common in Scotland. Very nice pools - yes more than 1 - plus restaurant and separate informal lounge. Good food, but breakfast hours start at 10. Doting staff. Perfect service. ”

“Schöne Küche, Zimmergröße ok (Familienzimmer). Aber: sehr dreckig. Auf dem Heizkörper im Zimmer war ein Fleck mit Erbrochenem (? Annahme), welches sich auch auf dem Teppichboden befand. Der Türcode für das Zimmer befindet sich gut sichtbar für alle im Flur an der Pinnwand. Somit haben wir uns nicht sicher gefühlt. Es war kein Personal vor Ort. Wir mussten telefonisch erst einmal die Zugänglichkeit zum Zimmer klären. ”

“We loved our stay in the Balmoral lodge. Excellent location, well equipped and comfortable. Only tiny thing I’d mention is that in the facilities there is ‘free toiletries’ listed, but it was only hand soap so we did have to nip to the local shop. So maybe just take that off the description as it may be misleading? We’d love to come back again soon, we had a fantastic time. Thank you! ”

“The cabin was amazingly beautiful. The decor was very very nice. Everything was very clean and the views were beautiful. First thing I did was take pictures of the cabin to send home. They know How much I wanted to stay in one. I did walk the seven bridge walk I’d sat halfway, also a wonderful scenic walk where I was able to get some fabulous pictures. When I took the walk outside the cabin I was amazed to see rabbits running everywhere. I was like a cartoon, most enjoyable. I did meet up with……

“We were meeting friends to go to the Highland games and there were little lodging available at a reasonable price. I was a little concerned about the bothies based on earlier reviews but we all loved it. One friend was very tall and in a bothies with lower ceilings so they offered a different one but they didn't mind. We all enjoyed the wood stoves, the environment, and the beds. “This cottage is so nice you won't want to leave the house. The layout is perfect and incredibly functional, and the style is pristine and tasteful. There is a laminated guidebook with info about the appliances, temp control, amenities, nearby hikes. Everything was in stock, everything worked. The skylights have blinds/shades and can be cracked open for air, and the lighting options inside are numerous. Sometimes you see houses that have been flipped with superficial touches yet they fail at……

The house was okay but would have benefited from the owners having been less defensive and having acted upon issues already raised by previous reviewers e.g. the mattresses/pillows were very uncomfortable, the tap in the upstairs toilet is very stiff and difficult to turn on or regulate the temperature, especially cold (even the caretaker couldn't sort out).
