“It was our first time in the castle itself, usually we stay in the lower hotel but the rates were comparable to the least expensive so I booked one night in the “castle”. The only complaint we really had was the heater in the room was controlled from a thermostat that was down the hall and was for the entire building so our room was either cold or way too hot even with the windows open in late April. “Everything was clean and working. The condo was very comfortable and the Murphy bed was a lot more comfortable than a pull out couch. We also enjoyed the hot tub. Also after 8 inches of new snow overnight the pathways and parking lot were cleared before 7 am.”

“Older building on the outside and yard. But rooms were remodeled and very nice. No contact with any staff except by text and emails. They give you a code for the doors. A little different.”

“The home is charming, immaculate and amidst woods with no neighbors in eye or earshot. It is on a dirt road, so an awd vehicle is a good idea. A stream runs along the driveway. The Ottauquechee River is across the road. The bathroom is on the first floor, and bedrooms on the second floor. The smoke detector goes off if you saute on the stove. I recommend learning how to turn off a wired in smoke detector. You should open the kitchen window when you saute, because most of the smoke detectors……

“Nice small one-room cabin in the woods. The road is dirt and could have been difficult to traverse in snowy weather without 4-wheel drive, but was fine when we visited.”
