“My wife and I, and our kids really enjoyed this quiet and rural farm- plenty of space for the kids to roam, they loved collecting eggs from the chickens, feeding the pig and brushing the horses. Small pond is great for taking very young ones canoeing.”

“My family and I enjoyed our stay here. Everything was clean and neat and the process of checking in and out was easy-peasy. I rated it four stars instead of five because it is remote, so unless you're sticking to cycling or activities on the nearby South Fork of the New River, you'll be driving a bit to get anywhere. Although I'm a lifelong resident of NC, I'm always discovering new places to visit, and this was a great one. I would definitely stay there again when I have more time to explore……

“The property was just as described. I was there for a friend's graduation at App State. It was crazy in Boone so it was nice to get away from that and be in this peaceful place. “The house is beautiful and comfortable. It had everything we needed and we enjoyed cooking, relaxing and venturing off. The property and the walks we took visiting the animals and the scenery was so enjoyable. The host(s) could not be more accommodating. Each room is impeccable and the history of the home and land. We saw turkeys and deer in the mornings as each room has a scenic view. You are literally 4 mins from town so convenient, and we we’re comfortable dropping our boys off at Sugar……

“The Little Farm on the Pond was the perfect farmhouse for our before Christmas getaway. The property owners made us feel so welcomed with the lit Christmas tree and a so glad your here sign. We absolutely loved everything about this property. The farmhouse provides all of your needs for your stay. The decor is farmhouse, which was very warm and inviting. The pond was great too. “I went to this property over new years weekend with three friends. The house was perfectly sized for all of us. We had such a good time exploring the property, hanging out in the hot tub, and relaxing on the back porch. The property the house is on is absolutely beautiful. The house itself is charming and has the perfect amount of squeak to it's floors. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to make our own meals. “Overall I'm glad we picked this hotel. The staff at the hotel were super nice! The floor in our room was a bit squeaky, but we barely heard anything from the floor above us. The pool was a very comfortable temperature and the sauna felt good. They had a heavy snow early on the day we checked in, so we were glad to have a lower level to park in!”
