“We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Hillcrest cottage. It is exactly as shown in the listing. We loved the hot tub and sitting around the fire outside on the terrace watching the stars! Although it seems quite isolated it is less than half an hour’s stroll from Dunston and a few minutes further to Metheringham. The cottage and the views were stunning and we would highly recommend!”

“Lovely small property for 2 people. An oasis in the midst of the Lincolnshire countryside which, it has to be said, is quite featureless. (To be fair, we went late October. On a summer's day it would be much nicer.) Could well revisit to see more of the area. Plenty of places of interest within a half-hour's drive.”

“A lovely house which was perfect for our short family break. The house is completed to a high spec and the garden is very well maintained. The bar area is a bonus and a really nice area for socialising. Location was good to go to beaches and other local areas. Most things are within a 10-15 minute drive. Kids and grandparents really enjoyed the stay.”

“This is a lovely property. Nice and clean, well equipped and in beautiful grounds with lakes and wildlife. We enjoyed feeding the geese - and were allowed to see some baby chicks that had just hatched. Barbara was on hand to help with anything we needed, and had provided a leaflet with local things to do and takeaways that delivered to site. Excellent stay, we will no doubt be booking again.”

“The accommodation is light, airy, modern and just right for a sea-side stay. Everything is really clean - it's immaculate. There's everything you could need whether for cooking, games, watching TV (in both bedrooms as well as lounge area), plenty of storage space, lovely bathroom (with a large shower that you can move about in!), comfy beds. The welcome basket was a treat and the owner is very welcoming and helpful. A beautiful and comfortable place to come back to and enjoy after days out and……

“We were all looking forward to our short Christmas break and we were not disappointed.. The cottage was easy to find and we had early access. The heating was on and everything looked cosy. Louise had left a hamper and a bottle of Champagne - thankyou The bedrooms were of good size and the beds were comfy with a bedroom downstairs with accessible bathroom which was for us invaluable. The lounge was very cosy and the kitchen/diner was well equipped with all we needed Louise was very helpful from……

Loved the fact had internet and watch all my favourite programmes on Netflix etc. My daughter was able to chill in her own room with tv at the end of a busy day. ”
