“The newer sections of this property are better. We had a king room with river view. It was very clean and functional in everything. Even has a balcony with chairs! The grounds are beautiful, as are the grounds of the two neighboring properties. It’s not walkable to town or shopping. The Gorge Hotel has an unremarkable restaurant next door. So bring some snacks. Staff are friendly. Do not be put off by the simplicity of the office. This is a comfortable place with a nice vibe, a view, places……

“They’ve obviously been doing a lot of updating. Very clean, slight smell of new furniture or chemical, probably from the renovations. Friendly staff, pretty grounds. The hot tub was being replaced, sad that I couldn’t use it but will be nice for future guests. ”

“This place felt super comfortable and cozy. We really enjoyed the hot tub, heated pool, and sauna. It was raining the whole time we were in Oregon, so the amenities were nice to have to warm up. There was a nice trail to walk on near the hotel that led to the golf course near by. The kitchen had everything you would need to stay there and cook for a while! We were able to cook a full dinner and the grill outside on the patio was another plus. We enjoyed our stay and this will probably be our……

“The Cascade Motel is a quaint collection of 1940s cabins. The owners were wonderful and welcoming. The cottages are clean and comfortable with fresh paint and plush mattresses. I loved the old wooden floor, and the wall heaters kept the room cozy when the nighttime temperatures fell significantly. However, the tiny shower (in cottage #8) would be a problem for anybody over 250 lbs, so choose a different cabin if you are on the larger side. Very quiet and restful. I would happily stay there……
