We thoroughly enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the evenings and listening to the nearby creek. Enjoyed walking to restaurants and around downtown without needing our car. Also enjoyed driving to nearby waterfalls and hiking.”

“Wonderful rural, peaceful waterfront property to launch retirement with my husband and pup! Pristine house and grounds. Every little kitchen amenity you need to cook or bake, complete with coffee bar. Please note - Food storage space is limited for longer stay (we stayed 9 days) so use your big cooler. We grilled and ate in all week. You’ll also love the fun retro vibe. So fun! Clean laundry room with deep sink, potty and sport equipment storage was super handy. The grounds were private on two……

“We had a wonderful stay. Billy offered to let us check in early when we arrived at 1 PM. The cottage was classic OBX. It was beautifully decorated clean and just what our family afford. Our two little dogs loved the area. Wish we could’ve stayed longer but was just down for a wedding. We all agreed that we would enjoy a longer stay next time. Definitely want to come back.”

“From the moment we set foot on the property we felt at home! Not a detail was missed in the design and setup of the cottage. It was immensely welcoming and comfortable, with a front porch that had an amazing mountain view. On property you have a meandering river and 4 waterfalls. Carman and Jim were responsive and made sure we had everything we needed and more!”

“Shore Relaxing is an amazing place. The house is absolutely beautiful and in a great location. We spent time hiking False Cape State Park (VA)...we found a gate to enter from NC. We also explored the Currituck Beach Lighthouse Park/Maritime Museum and hiked Currituck Banks Preserve. The wild horses made daily visits which excited, cautiously, our dog Roscoe. We look forward to a return to Shore Relaxing and would recommend to family and friends.”

“Stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate a birthday. It was the perfect little cabin for two - quaint and homey furnishings plus a stocked kitchen and a bowl of candy provided by the host! We loved the location right next to the river, and there were plenty of other activities within a short drive. Can't wait to stay there again.”

“This is a great house for a long weekend in Asheville. The home was clean, comfortable and in the perfect location to all the Asheville activities. The owner was super responsive and incredibly helpful during our stay. Only thing to note is that the house is on a pretty busy street, not an issue but just something to keep in mind if you have kids and/or pets with you. Overall, we had an excellent time and would stay here again!”
