This time we were able to enjoy the screened in porch - a great place to relax and while away an afternoon reading. The bed is amazingly comfortable and I even slept in…something I rarely do! The kitchen is well stocked and I enjoy having a coffee bar. I am already looking forward to our next stay!”

“My husband and I booked this quaint Yadkin Valley home for the weekend of the Wine Festival. Our hosts were gracious and communitive. We were thrilled to find delicious goodies upon our arrival. The location of the home is perfect to explore and support local shopping and dining in downtown Elkin. The home was clean and provided us everything that we needed for a comfortable weekend stay. “We chose this area for how close it was to Hanging Rock. However, it rained very hard almost the whole time we were there. But the house was so comfortable that we really enjoyed just hanging out there. Very clean, with a lot of thoughtful details (spices, teas, coffee) and the sheets on the bed were so soft and amazing! The hosts were very easy to message and we always got a quick response. Would definitely go back!”

“Very nicely renovated single wide trailer. No detail was overlooked in the renovation and decorating. High end cabinets, flooring, great lighting, and even an iPhone charger was appreciated. For the area, it’s a little expensive compared to other rentals in MOD. Private setting, although there was some traffic coming through the shared driveway. It was very clean but I did find a few false eyelashes throughout the home and the fridge didn’t look like it had been wiped out. I would visit more……

“This cottage turned out to be an ideal location for our 51st anniversary stay. Our historic site destinations were just 30-40 mins away. It provided a very relaxing and restful place to stay after our tiring days activities. Sharon was easy to work with and quick to respond to questions. She provided a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our special occasion. We would definitely check to see if this cottage was available if traveling in the area.”

“Beautiful and clean”

“The open concept kitchen-living-dining was perfect for our family gathering. The house appeared to be less than 5 years old and is a perfect “movie like” neighborhood. They also decorated it for Christmas with a tree and a wreath along with a few pieces here and there made our Christmas to New Year’s Eve celebration even homier. Our concerns were minor: have 2 sets of towels for all 8 guests, add enough plates, cups, mugs, salad plates and silverware for 12, add kitchen towels, add a pizza……

“We met our friends here for a long weekend and had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed our hosts and winery/vineyard. It was close to so many other winery/vineyards. Will definitely stay there again.”

“If you're looking to stay in the Mt. Airy/ Mayberry area, it doesn't get any better than this. Charming house, with no detail left unattended and all amenities you would need. Quiet, safe location.
