“My husband and I booked this trip to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. My daughter has also been asking to go camping for at least a year and we weren’t ready to buy all the equipment. This was the perfect way to get the camping experience without the commitment! The view of the river and the mountains was breath taking. The restrooms had real toilets and were immaculate. You have everything you need, the decor is very cool with a 40’s cabin/Mid Century Modern feel and hosts are so gracious. I would highly recommend The Kern River House!”

“This is a beautiful guest house tucked away along the South Fork of the Kaweah River. It's lovely hearing the river, which is just a short walk away. We had everything we needed for our few days visiting Sequoia National Park, with a comfortable bed, well-outfitted kitchen, and cushioned patio furniture to relax outside and listen to the river. The host was exceptionally responsive. Definitely recommend for a secluded, comfortable getaway!”

“Was unable to make the Wednesday checkin, we were there on Thursday afternoon,On Friday morning in the rain, I was 3 hours out of getting married, and the storage tank for the water ran out and had NO water to get ready for my wedding. It was remedied rather quickly but still had to head down to the venue to get ready…….pre- planning on a water storage tank when you are renting out a property should have been filled prior to our arrival. Also the Wi-Fi does not work. Not sure I would ever do a……

“This is the perfect retreat if you are looking for a spacious location close to Sequoia National Park. The place is cozy with a beautiful patio with hot tub and fireplace, which is great to relax after a day of hiking! The home has all the amenities you need and feels like a home away from home. James was great in communicating with us before, throughout and after our stay. Would definitely recommend!”

“A nice little cabin in a nice neighborhood. It has all the necessary amenities for a quick get away in the woods. Perfect place if you are wanting to have fun in the snow during winter. The host is extremely friendly, responsive and accommodating. We are definitely going to re-consider this place for our next visit to Alta Sierra.”
