It's actually several miles out of town, which was a problem for us since we didn't have a rental car and there's no public transport serving the area. The owner offered us a lift into La Fortuna on our first day, but beyond that we had to keep booking Ubers which also were quite unreliable. The cabin was nice but could do with a bit of upkeep —……

“Das Ferienhaus entsprach exakt den der Beschreibung. Nur die geografischen Angaben zur Lage pass(t)en nicht. Dies ist aber ein Problem von Fewo-Direkt und kein Fehler des Vermieters. Laut Karte von Fewo-Direkt ist sie am Stadtrand. In Wirklichkeit aber eher 10 Minuten Autofahrt von La Fortuna entfernt. Wer morgens zu Fuß in ein Café oder abends in eine Bar möchte, hat schlechte Karten. Vom ersten Kontakt bei der Buchung bis zur Abreise: der Vermieter war jederzeit erreichbar und stand auch für……

“Love the property. All kinds of birds. There was a running creek and a pond which allowed us to be serenaded by frogs at night. Everything was well kept up. Neighborhood felt safe at night. Found a little café in La Fortuna that specialized in chocolate, Absolutely delicious there.”

“The house was clean, spacious and perfect for our party of 6. The house is in a gated community, so it felt very safe. The host was quick to respond to all questions, which we appreciated! Definitely recommend this house if staying in La Fortuna.”
