"Total relaxation and we'll needed downtime. The staff at this were wonderful and welcoming. The area was beautiful, the hotel looks out onto sweeping mountain landscape. We enjoyed the indoor onsen and slept soundly in our traditional accommodations. The food was very impressive, so carefully presented and delicious. We ate breakfast and dinner here but also tried some restaurants with walking distance that did not disappoint. A remarkable experience, thank you for your hospitality. "

"We spontaneously extended our day trip and needed a place to sleep- this hotel was very clean and convenient, with plenty of extra amenities. The extra large jetted bathtub was also super clean and we were very excited to have it after our day of hiking in the sun. "とにかく素晴らしいです！南朝時代の皇居として使用された堀家の母家に隣接する離れに泊まれるのですから。内部は綺麗にリノベーションされてますし、とても快適です。離れの横、母家の横には川が流れてますので、そのせせらぎや、カジカガエルの声が聞こえてきて、とても情緒があります。泊まった日は、はからずも満月でしたので、広々としたお風呂に入り、その窓から月と川を眺めておりました。心の底から癒されるひと時でした。お風呂は家族で入れる大きさなので、ゆったりできます。ホテルの周りには人がいませんので、夜になると川の音しかしません。庭に出て自然の音に包まれながら、満月を愛でつつお酒を飲む最高の時間。魂の洗濯が出来た気がしました。また、当主の堀様も品のある素敵な方で、さすが代々続いてこられたお家柄だと感動しました。歴史好きな方は是非、またそうでない方でも、きっと満足出来るホテルだと思います。今回は食事無しでしたので、それだけが心残りですね。次回は是非、食事もしてみたいと思いました。ありがとうございました！"

"It's a very beautiful, big and clean house in Japanese style. Exactly was I was looking for! It looks better in reality, than on the photos. The owners are very nice! They even brought us lot's of fruits. I would like to come and stay there again! Thanks a lot!"

"Absolutely wonderful place to stop on the way to Koyasan. I will admit when I showed up at the inn I was later than expected, had walked many miles, and was in quite a bad mood. The welcome I received changed all of that. They took me straight to my room and gave me tea and treated me like I was part of their family. I had the best meal of my time in Japan at this inn. The onsen was the perfect temperature and felt so good on my sore muscles. If you are maki my the journey to Koyasan this inn is a fantastic place to stop. The town is full of history and the staff were so kind to me even though I was dirty and sweaty and tired. I left feeling clean and refreshed!"
