“We stayed at The Carlton Best Western Hotel Blackpool. Hotel was spotless, comfortable and the staff were lovely, very helpful , nothing was too much trouble for them. It is in a prime spot for buses, trams & taxis. Its also only a short walk into town centre. I would definitely be retaining in the near future.”

It would have been enhanced by a Jacuzzi but I am not sure where Barton could put one! One potential improvement would be if the room key could be used to operate the car park barrier to avoid having to ask reception to raise the barrier each time I returned to the hotel. But my only reason for not giving 5 stars overall was that my……

“Another amazing stay at The Spa Hotel, Ribby Hall. This was our third and probably best visit of all. The spa wasn’t overly busy, and the rain stayed away long enough to really enjoy the outdoor jacuzzis and enjoy a nice cold beer. We stayed on the Aqua Thermal Journey overnight stay with dinner allowance. The food was delicious as you’d expect from a high standard hotel. Breakfast was extremely busy as many people wanted to use their final hour back in the spa the following morning before……

“We have stayed many times at this hotel and it has always been pleasant, very clean and cannot fault the staff, apart from one young man serving on the bar on Saturday night whom I asked for a Long Island ice tea, he said no the hot drinks machine is broke ? I said it’s a cocktail? And he replied abruptly I know but we’re not doing them ?apart from that it was lovely. ”

“The room was small but comfortable and clean. The food was very good - both the buffets and the plated main course dinner. Our young server Jake was very hard working and efficient. One problem was there isn't enough seating in the ballroom for the evenings entertainment. Overall though an enjoyable stay and will definitely return.”

“Very handy location for the gay scene. Bed was comfy and it wasn't that noisy at night. The only thing I didn't like was the basic shower facilities. Found it very confusing trying to use the shower. ”
