“My family and I enjoyed our stay here. The location was good, 20 mins or less to Saranac, about 30 or so mins to Lake Placid mirror lake. The house was clean and kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Beds were comfortable, heating was more than adequate. The yard and lake access was fun. Snow was pretty much untouched and the kids loved sledding, playing with their trucks, walking on the frozen lake and trying to make their best snow angels. By mid-October, this area is past the fall-foliage season and boat traffic is at a minimum. This listing is accurate. The place is quiet. The host is very responsive. Enjoy!”

“I cannot recommend this home enough. Spent the weekend here with 3 close friends and we quite literally had the best trip. To start, Martha, the homeowner, is reliable, informative, and so friendly. The house is incredible. Spacious, so much attention to detail, and adorable. The best part of this home is it is walking distance from the village and you get a gorgeous view of Mirror Lake, the Olympic ski jumps, and Whiteface from the covered deck. “It was cold during our stay and being right on top of the water there was a very large temperature gradient from the floor to ceiling. We had an infant sleeping in a pack n play on the floor and so it was necessary to blow a fan and move the air. The temp at the floor on our baby monitor was reading 61 while the heat in the room was set to 77. So be aware if you have an infant. Additionally the floor was bowing and popping up in many places. Likely due to extreme temperature swings or humidity.……

“This is a pretty special property. The views are incredible, the home is cozy and well-maintained, and the property is located just 5 minutes from downtown Tupper Lake and 25 minutes to Saranac Lake (we spent time in both)! I fished both full days we were there. I launched from the property with my fishing kayak one day. My wife used one of the provided kayaks one day. The second day I launched about 1.25 miles up the road at a DEC boat launch. We had a great time and I highly recommend.”

“Our family of five has been going up to the Adirondacks for a four or five night winter getaway for the last several years. This was the second time we stayed at this property. It offers a rustic feeling, room for each of our kids to have some privacy, a well stocked kitchen and a nice family gathering space to watch Netflix, build a puzzle or play a game.
