“Absolutely amazing. Concierge Davie gave us a grand tour with huge Scottish flare. Beautiful views of the river with very clean grounds and rooms. Definitely our favorite stay on our 12 day honeymoon journey. Everything is pricey here but well worth the experience for this level of quality. ”

“Throughly enjoyed short break at the Hotel with all the staff being helpful and friendly and were made welcome despite being very busy. Food was generally very good and plentiful (yes eate too much) and all the bar meals and dining was excellent. The Breakfasts were average but perfectly edible and no shortage of drinks available for whatever your tastes. The hotel was clean and well maintained but did have a couple of ongoing minor repairs which is good to see as mainting an old building like……

“What a gem!! The property is in a great location, very walkable to everything. The front desk was so friendly and they were able to get us a room on the first floor since we had heavy luggage. Our room was so nice and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. And we fully enjoyed our buffet breakfast. We could not have asked for more! ”

“We stayed here for one night and had a second floor loft suite. The room was clean and modern and nicely decorated. We especially loved the fresh shortbread cookies and the fresh milk and the fridge for our coffee in the morning. The bathroom was clean and also modern. The building itself is beautiful and the location was nice and close to a local walking trail that we took that went from the dam all the way up to the Falls. The breakfast staff were extremely attentive and we had the hot……

“Convenient and easy to get to. Clean and spacious room. We stayed in 11 which was so close to the car park and only had a few steps. Comfortable room, hot showers, nice big bed, delicious breakfast - try the whiskey porridge! We ate all our lunches and diners at The Auld Smiddy Inn and wish we couldn’t stayed longer!”

“Angela is an Angel! Super sweet host and friendly. Stephanie was helpful too. Room size was amazing, bathroom size large, the TOWELS were massive and soft. The included breakfast had several AMAZING options- full scottish, salmon, porridge, etc. We felt like Royalty there! Would only stay here. Ps. The dogs were wonderful. Great food and bar”

“Gorgeous hotel in a beautiful setting. Spacious and comfortable, with pretty views. The restaurant was amazing (vegan and gluten free options too), and the grocery store/gift shop on site was a great feature (vegan, gluten free options at the store as well). We will definitely be back and would highly recommend! The golf course was excellent as well. We stayed in 12B Maxwells.”
