“I had a wonderful stay. The basement space was private, quiet and cozy. The space is nicely decorated and so clean. We appreciated having the amenities for cooking which saved us money on our apartment hunting trip. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. Thank you Steve and family!”

“Beautiful historic home. Instantly taken back to a more simple time in architectural appearance however all indoor amenities available, in good working order, and modern. Alissa was available and easy to access for any of our first time visit questions. Amazing customer service. Truly grateful to have her a message away. We visited from Texas and we were met with hospitality like no other with most locals (kind and courteous) on both sides of the Mississippi river. A 20min beautiful rural drive……

“I was excited to stay at this place as it was above a pub and a little shop. Also, the host was nice and really responsive. However, upon arriving at a late hour after our flight, we were greeted with the smell of must/mold. We were so tired we just went to bed, but all 4 of us were woken up at 5 am due to the bedrooms now having curtains and the post office below making thunderously loud noises every few minutes. I reached out to our host immediately that morning and never received a response.……

“It was a horrible experience. We were told that there would be someone on sight for emergencies. It is very dark on the property with no lights outside. We had people knocking on our windows late at night. Come to find out that there was no person on sight and we were out there alone. Poor communication by owner. Never have been so scared in my life. The inside was very musty and smelly. We had to empty the dehumidifier 4 times in a 2 night stay. There us only one lock on door with the keypads……

“Clean and has everything we need! Breakfast is okay, nothing much to eat. Downside is no housekeeping daily so we out of toilet papers! Otherwise the price is good! Didnt see any bugs or roach!!! Will stay again. Building is newly updated. ”

“We had great weather to utilize the wonderful outdoor space of this property for coffee on the deck in the morning to cookout and hammerschlagen in the evening. 2 couples with 6 adult children enjoyed having their own bedroom along with ample bathrooms to not feel cramped. Very clean! Had an issue with internet/cable, but the owner responded in a timely manner to rectify the issue.”
