It was quiet by 11:30 (on a Monday night). Expedia reservation was of no help trying to get access to the remote, virtual check in process because the front door requires a four-digit code (not set prior to my visit). “Really disappointed. The house looks nice on the outside but on the inside, there was serious need of cleaning and upgrade. We rented the guest house since there were 3 of us. Very outdated and dirty. The comforter not clean. The second bed was the pull out sofa. The host later brought a pile of linens as if just out of the dryer for the bed…not folded and not made up before we arrived. The worst part was a very strong must odor. Smelled moldy. “The property is 3 levels with spiral staircases. 1) Downstairs "livingroom" area with sofas and TV. Washer/dryer also located there. We didn't spend much time in this room since there was no bathroom on that level 2) Second floor has the queen bed (comfy), kitchen and bathroom. This is where we spent 95% of our time. “My friends and I had an excellent stay at this property, it was the perfect size for 3 adults and very quaint and private. I will say that the listing says that it is 8.8 miles from Leesburg VA (which is where my friends and I were visiting) but that is not entirely accurate- there IS a ferry you can take across that maybe makes that number true but if you are an out of towner and are planning on just driving GPS style it ACTUALLY takes about 25-30 minutes to drive into town. Wasn’t a deal……
