"This property is a ways from the main roads, but it is a very quaint and relaxing place. If you want to learn about history and enjoy nature this is the place to come. It’s not a Hilton, so don’t expect that kind of amenities. The host/receptionist, Dan, is super helpful and knowledgeable. "

"Loved the setting in a small town within 30 minutes of Old Rag Mountain (popular hiking spot). The hosts were so helpful with info on dining options in the area and in towns within 10 minutes drive. In this very town, there are restaurants within a few short blocks, including a delicious bakery/coffee shop. Accommodations were perfect. "Very pet friendly, which is important to us, given that we have two dogs. Alan Webb, the host, has a cockatoo, which the dogs loved and which we loved also. Good proximity to the Skyline Drive, Charlottesville, and the White Oak Canyon trail in the Shenandoah National Park. Good breakfasts and good amenities in the room, with Keurig coffee maker, flat screen tv with streaming, and good wi-fi."

"Everything was so smooth, from the check in to check out. We really enjoyed the beautiful water views and the hot tub! I wish the indoor pool was open a little later, but the kids were able to get in an hour of swimming before it closed. The cabin was well stocked with all essentials and was clean and cozy!
