“Everything was so smooth, from the check in to check out. We really enjoyed the beautiful water views and the hot tub! I wish the indoor pool was open a little later, but the kids were able to get in an hour of swimming before it closed. The cabin was well stocked with all essentials and was clean and cozy! We will be back for sure! ”

We drove around Shenandoah’s Sky Line Dr and came back to amazing weather and spent a few hours in the hot tub. Accessing the property was easy peasy and the property manager was super quick to respond to any questions. Very relaxing, exactly what we needed! “We had a great time staying at the Squirrel’s Nest. The location is secluded but still only 15 minutes away from Shenandoah. The cabin was warm & cozy and a perfect escape from everyday life. Hot tub was a plus!”

“The unit is well located and was clean and looked as listed in the review. Our only concern was that the HVAC system was very loud at night. It wasn’t a sound that was all night long, but more at every hour or two intervals. Other than that we would stay at the unit again!”

“We love this property, this is the second time we stayed here! Everything was great other then I think he last guests spilled something on the pool table and it was molding. I sent a message to the property manager when we discovered it. (but that is a minor issue that is easily resolved) One of the bathrooms was a little dirty upon arrival (hair int he drain etc.) Other than that this house was perfect for our get together with friends! We will be back again!”

“The house is great with lots of room. The majority of the inside of the home was clean. The basement had dirt and bugs that needed to be cleaned prior to stay. The only uncomfortable bed was the upstairs queen bed. It creaked every time you moved. The outside needed maintenance. The grass was not cut, the bush’s were all overgrown and we really could not swim off the dock. The outside pictures in the listing do not really look like that. This was really disappointing because it could be a……

“A very nice and clean, spacious house and property. Unfortunately our recent May 2nd - 5th stay was plagued with poor, spotty rainy weather except for the arrival night so we didn't get to utilize all of the of outdoor features associated with the property. Having firewood available for the firepit was a nice convenience. We definitely would consider staying there again. Please note to be careful walking on the outside stone pathways, some become a little slippery when wet.”

“We stayed three nights in this perfectly appointed cabin near Shenandoah NP. The kitchen was well equipped, the cabin was lovely, located in a beautiful location. We built a nightly fire outside and used the hot tub. There was also a jet tub in the house which we ran out of time to use. The owner was very responsive and friendly. During our first week of a three week vacation, my husband said staying in this cabin was his favorite part.”

“Great location in Orange County Va farm land very close to many attractions and with in reach to Charlottesville for a day trip via country road route 20 ( no traffic lights). The cottage is an outbuilding on the Bloomingdale Farm property that is surround by working farms. The view from the porch is peaceful and relaxing with the Blue Ridge off in the distance. The cottage is rustic with old wide plank pine floors that creek with every step. The first floor sitting room has a large working wood……

“We loved the kitchen & decks . The dock & fire pit were awesome. The only suggestions would be to put a window covering in the master bedroom and dust the basement we did see some bugs.”

“We had a great time at the sawmill cottage! Jen was a wonderful host and even gave us a tour of her farm, highly recommend! The cottage was clean and bed was comfortable. Absolutely no cell service or television, and that gave us some time to spend unplugged and play board games and watch dvds together!! Campfire area is awesome as well. Loved it, thanks Jen for the experience and helping us with maps of the area!”

“The heater in the room had been making the weird sound nearly all night which disrupted my sleep. My other co-workers who stayed during the same period also had the same experience. No safe in the room, no slippers provided. But the service is friendly and reliable. The location is next to major highways exit hence its very convenient.”
