“Rented this specifically since it was outside of resort areas. Not far from Kailua-Kona, though - only a 15-min drive. Daughter and I went to go hiking and experience nature, and this location was perfect for that! (We could even birdwatch from the lanai!) Found the house and the room clean and well-maintained. I loved the beach cottage feel and the location was perfectly nestled across the street from the ocean and near many restaurants and shopping. We arrived there almost midnight, Diana waited for us and helped us get settled in. Next morning, we woke up to an amazing sea view.
