“Dan and Annie are a great couple to work with. The property that we stayed in was the cabin. It is clean and well stocked. The property sits right on the Mississippi so one can enjoy the scenery, barges going up and down and all over river traffic. You wont be disappointed in choosing to stay here. Bellevue itself is a very friendly town within walking distance to shops,bars and restaurants.”

“Quick response to our question when we got there. Quiet and peaceful, I never heard the barges go by. Easy to find. Short drive to town for groceries and to Maquoketa Cave State Park. Daughters thought their beds upstairs were a little hard (personal preference), but the one downstairs was very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen. Best set of skillets I have seen in a rental.”

It had everything we needed including the perfect location for a trip to the area state parks as well as some fun shopping in Dubuque. “This place was so nice stayed for two nights kids begged for a 3rd. Saw turtles,beavers, muskrats. Both kids caught their first fish ever right off the dock. Definite core memories. Beds/bedding were comfy and clean. Beach around the corner. If you need there are public swimming pools near. We went to mt carrol public pool and it was perfect. Have already booked stay for next year!! Thank you!”

“This tiny-home style log cabin was all we had hoped for. It is comfortable, immaculate, and extremely well-organized for storage and functionality. We especially enjoyed the outdoor amenities, with the fire pit and hot tub right on the river, in view of the lock -- and under the stars. Comfortable, private, easy access to the river town of Bellevue, Iowa - with an up-close taste and view of the Mississippi River -- all for a surprisingly reasonable price. Highly recommended!”

“Saw this place on hotel.com and thought I’d give it a whirl. It sits in a beautiful small town called Belleview.IA with lots of parks and access to the river and tons of shops and diners just a short walk away. Although the staff is off site they are super friendly, honest and pretty knowledgeable about the area which is great for first time visitors. The property was super clean and offers an amazing view of the Mississippi River and the lock and damn. My only bummer was the property is not in……

“Maquoketa caves state park was on pur bucket list to stay and I wanted a cabin with firepit and bonus if it had a whirlpool tub to soothe our muscles after hiking. This checked all the boxes for us. We especially liked that there were 2 beds...one felt more firm and the other more soft like ours at home. We were entirely comfortable. Would definitely recommend!”
