“Excellent and well situated only issue was leisure facilties were closed on our visit”

“This is a slightly dated property but is in the best location with fantastic views and always great staff. I always stay here in Newcastle. ”

Only thing missing was there was no plug sockets by the bed so had to charge my phone on the table by the mirror - meant I had to actually get out of bed to turn off my alarm and couldn’t scroll through my phone in bed while it was low on battery. Otherwise couldn’t fault it ”

“We stayed for two nights in a junior suite, the hotel was clean and tidy, staff were all friendly and welcoming. The bar and cocktails were lovely. Unfortunately the dinner menu was not great so we ate out both nights and luckily there are many options for food and drink close by. We did have a problem with breakfast on the second day (food was burnt) we returned the plate and then got the wrong replacement food and still burnt, after raising with the restaurant manager it was refunded so no……

“Soundproof isn’t quiet good, especially on Saturday night when there were too many drunk ladies, they came back super late, very loud, also they tried to open my door, many times, 3am to 4am, I didn’t sleep at all.”

“We arrived to check in and told we would be staying in the sister hotel over the road . Had no problems with the hotel it was clean safe & quite as we were on the top floor . Considering it was between 2 busy bars we heard no noise at all . Very warm room & plug didn’t work in the bath but for £39 you can’t complain ! We opened the window & had showers . ”

“Clean and spacious room, large bed, comfortable mattress. No slippers and tooth brush set provided but if you ask the staff, they will give them to you. ”

“Great stay however someone had parked in the space outside our patio so couldn’t use this space for our own stuff. They were noisy when returning to their car at 10pm waking up my son. Maybe could number the spaces for the rooms ”

“First impressions were spoilt be the pot holes in the driveway leading to the car park and the reception area just being a computer situated on the end of the bar. Room was clean and bed very comfy. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. Considering the price paid, overall I would give the hotel a score of 7 out of 10”
