“Our stay at the Lodge was so lovely that we extended another night. The quality of furniture and decor is excellent. The kitchen was one of the best stocked we have stayed in when it came to utensils, it had everything you could think of to cook some lovely home family meals. The lodge was warm and cosy for our family of 4 inc our toddler and little dog, perfect for our relaxing stopover from Scotland back to London. ”

“Very well presented little cottage. There are a few different cottages here, we stayed in Valencourt. Quality furnishings and fittings, was very comfortable and cosy for a family of 4. Only frustration was the showers. Very difficult to get the right temp for the kids. (I think its to do with the hot water pressure) Even so it didn't spoil our stay, lovely touch with welcome pack in the kitchen, tea, sugar, milk, bread, butter, fresh orange juice and biscuits. Very appreciated! But the best……

“It was a great experience for my wife and I to sleep over a pub. The staff were extremely friendly. We met some wonderful people from Wells and we had a really good beer and cider. They even made us a platter of cheese and crackers. The parking was very good, access to the pub was a little difficult due to the many staircases one had to use to get to our room. It was especially difficult getting large suitcases up, but that is natural when there are no elevators. if It was warm and cozy, the……

“The house is situated in a lovely area. The host was pleasant and left a useful ‘welcome basket’ and plenty of linen etc. The house was clean, however it was generally ‘dated / tired’ and cluttered; with an overgrown garden. A shame there was no way of watching live tv (particularly in the week of the Queen dying) Upstairs has creaky floorboards and doors that drag on carpets. The beds were comfortable but the master bedroom was cramped with oversized furniture and there was no evidence of twin……
