“We had a very short 1 night stay here on our way back from the Outer Hebrides, just to break up our journey home. The hotel was lovely, the bedroom was clean and comfortable, the bathroom looked newly refreshed and the view from our room was stunning. The resident's lounge was huge, as was the breakfast dining area. The breakfast was buffet style but was more than adequate. Would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. ”

“In this hotel you stay in small huts which work as their own units. It's a cozy room but has all you need. The hotel's main building has a bar and restaurant with great food. To wake up with the view on the foggy hills around was just great!”

“I really enjoyed my stay at The Balmacara Hotel! The staff is very nice and welcoming. The location is great for day trip over the Skye, as well as enjoying the views of the loch. The rooms were very nice and clean. I also had dinner and breakfast at the hotel which were fantastic as well!”

“I am so glad we found this place. It was exactly as portrayed: an historic (and idiosyncratic) small inn/hotel; not fancy, very straightforward; on the water in a wonderful location; a great kitchen punching way above its weight. But the best part was its staff. Warm, genuine. I felt cared about by every staff member I interacted with. Kudos.”

“Beautiful location (waterfront), extremely friendly and helpful staff, close to lots of walkable dining options,…. Only con was that there were very few close parking spaces. One night we ended up parking in a pay to park lot about 5-10 minutes walk away. Not ideal, but not a deal breaker. Still would recommend this hotel if staying in Portree.”

“這次入住的是三樓的房間，拿行李走狹小的樓梯有點辛苦，房間的高度也有點矮，感覺很像住在閣樓。 房間裡的窗戶雖然不夠大，不過看出去就是海邊還是很美。”
