"My partner and I booked a suite at the Novotel for 2 days as we were visiting Sheffield to watch the World Snooker Semi Finals. "Breakfast the first day was better - excellent bacon. Staff were really friendly. Evening meal was reasonable but problem with the card machine suggested my card was declined when my online bank showed the payment went through when I added my pin. I was able to show this and the staff were apologetic. However an hour later I had a phone call asking me to return to pay and I had to repeat the story. I was not required to show evidence, which I could and the staff were helpful."
