“What an absolutely fabulous place. Adrienne and her wonderful hardworking team could not do enough for our party of 18. From the entire booking process/communication with Adrienne that involved extensive dietary requirements, plus the organisation of activities including clay pigeon shooting, archery and air rifling, professional whisky tasting, arranging a piper and having an official Robbie Burns address to the haggis superbly undertaken by Barney. There was wonderful food constantly provided……

“This was the most fantastic venue for our Son’s 30th Birthday celebrations. The Cottage was perfectly laid out for our group of friends, and we managed to find extra accommodation in the Village, just a short walk away. The Staff at the Castle were excellent, friendly and helpful and the Hotel in the Village provided us with a fantastic Birthday Banquet. The area is beautiful, with lots to do and see. Would definitely recommend this and hope to return ourselves.”

“If you are thinking about staying at The Hunting Tower to enjoy the area, view and to visit Chatsworth House with unlimited access then this is for you. We absolutely loved our stay, such a unique building and well taken care of, considering it's age, it was all extremely comfortable. It was easy to collect the key as instructed but on arriving at Chatsworth the lady in the kiosk was not aware of what we should do next or to be able to navigate us to the property which was a little odd, so……

“We hired this venue to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary with friends and family. The castle is amazing, plenty of space to spread out and great facilities. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the local caretaker couldn't have been more helpful and responsive. The food hamper was a lovely touch and we all had an amazing stay.”

“At my age I have had all the presents I can ever want so to gather all the family around me was the best I have ever done. The sun shone and groups of peace wandered around, 40year old sat round the table with glasses of wine. The youngsters played pool downstairs. A few hardy fellows returned from a swim in the sea and young children squeezed with delight in the pool while mums soaked in the hot tub. Everyone happy and I could enjoy the company of my family. The grounds were beautiful, overlooking a flowing river and a gorgeous wooded area. The walk to the quaint town of Peebles was fabulous. Indeed, I can think of NOTHING of this one night experience for us that was amiss. We had the whole castle to ourselves. The accommodations were more than comfortable. In the room, we had a plethora of snacks and breakfast……

“The building is unique and was a great adventure for the family staying in our own mini castle - but comfortable and homely. Comfy beds quiet location so all slept like logs. Instructions for the oven and hob would have been helpful. Great base for a relaxing getaway within easy reach of Lindisfarne, Bamburgh and Alnwick castles and Northumberlands beaches and wild open spaces”

“After flight delays we made it to Church Tower! Emily was amazing, meeting us and showing us the church tower. So beautiful and comfortable, as described. A few concerns arose and there was a bit of confusion about who the point of contact was. It all got worked out and the much anticipated delicious welcome basket did arrive; and we were able to take our goodies with us to Inverness. Crieff was a beautiful area and we enjoyed the pubs, hikes, and drives. Thank you for a wonderful first……

“We loved our stay at the Bothy cottage. It had everything we needed and was a unique find. Enjoyed the deep bathtub and got out to heated towels off the rack. Each evening we walked around the estate to take in the castle, gardens, barns, church and cemetery. Questions were answers very timely. I would highly recommend and definitely stay again.”
