"Pros - Great location close to everything - Citybikes are around the corner which is very convenient to get around - Room was well designed and thought out, great use of a small space - Room was very clean - Hotel was very quiet and relaxing Cons - Pillows were awful, very lumpy, no firm pillows - Staff were not friendly and sometimes ignored us, tried to order a coffee one morning and the barista never acknowledged our presence "

They just saw at check in that it was her birthday and did it on their own. They even gave her a hand written card). Beautiful view, spacious room, top notch amenities. "

"Hotel is adorable and the staff was generally very friendly. I will say that it is a little difficult to navigate the elevator, at least the first couple of times, and it is not clear how to find the cafe. It’s really a fun place though with a great design for the rooms. Very clean!!!"

"We love historic hotels and the "NEW YORKER" sign was the only one in Manhattan visible from NJ when I was growing up in the 1960s. It's been marvelously restored and was comfortable with all the services one might have expected in the 40's or 50's. But it is midtown Manhattan, noisy and crowded, definitely the 'city that never sleeps." We would stay again! "
