“Seems the construction is done or mostly so. Quiet during my stay. Room was updated and clean, comfortable. Breakfast was a joke, usual cheap processed fake foods, bad coffee. But it is one of the better deals in the area. Always a trade off. Decent stay for the $. ”

“The hotel was great with one exception. It was walkable to everything! Location fantastic. The only complaint was that there was virtually no soundproofing. It was like a modular room set up. We could clearly hear the neighbors flush the toilet, shower, hair dryer and people down the hall getting ice from the ice machine. ”

“Bare basic room, older furniture, a TV that worked, some paint/wall in bathroom looked like it needed work. Not the best, but it was okay for a short night's stay. There were plenty of outlets, which was a plus as I had a lot of devices/batteries to recharge, front desk clerk was very nice.”

“Pulling up, we weren't sure if the area was a good area but the hotel was great! Friendly service, clean, comfortable, spacious. Very happy with our stay. The breakfast was good as well ( oatmeal, yogurt, waffles, hot breakfast etc) ”

“Check in was quick and staff was friendly. Room wasn't very clean. Used soap and bandages in shower upon arrival. Killed three cockroaches in two night stay, but I'm sure there were plenty more. Walls are thin, so noise from other guests and busy highway outside is sometimes noticeable. You get what you pay for.”

“What a wonderful place to stay! Hosts were very friendly. House is really well set up. The location is perfect to walk around New Bern. Breakfast had an incredible amount of choices. I had the shrimp and grits and it was scrumptious! Will definitely stay there again!!!”

A lovely historical house and setting, wonderful and interesting accents around, excellent books with house and New Bern history to read, our room was comfortable and perfect with view of the clock, gracious additions to make our stay like home, the breakfast was delicious and excellent, off street parking and hosts helpful and personable.
