Eat early as some food tended to run out later in the service. Two cappuccinos S$34 in the lounge on ground floor is too high given competition nearby. "The location is beautiful and understandable that it is in an ancient rainforest, however it doesn’t excuse the mould in some of the rooms or the hair that was clogging the sinks and showers. On arrival we decided to have lunch as they prepped our room, we found flies in our salads, not one but three. We had a 1.5 year old with us, so you can only imagine our shock when the room smelt of damp. They finally agreed to changing our room to only find more damp growing even on the pictures displayed...

"With this hotel, the outstanding feature was the staff at reception, maintenence and especially on the main entry, helping us with luggage and taxis. The lobby bar staff were all friendly and attentive. I personally did not like the self serve breakfast. Too hectic and noisy."

"comfortable bed. aircon a bit noisy but worked well as a white noise machine. shower was spacious and comfortable. good water pressure. towel was large. in-room safe was useful. adequate hangers for clothes. very accessible by monorel but always traffic jam right in front of the hotel. gigantic mall Berjaya Times Square is just an overhead bridge away, and new mall Lalaport is another bridge away. more food and shopping options behind the hotel."

"Mr. Joe & his staff was so friendly & helpful. I've stay for 3day & 2 night. The surrounding was good & the breakfast also very nice . Only a few things I think that they can improve is to provide a tea/coffe & mug in the room because they provide cattle but no mug provided. I have to borrow from the cafe & also the television on my room is not function properly. The channel sometimes got sometime none. But overall is ok & the pool also good . "Frangipani remains a relaxing choice on Langkawi. A little tired in places but still green and spacious with direct access to a long patch of quiet beach. Good breakfast 50 rm . Immediate locality is disappointing several sites along road derelict post COVID and fewer local eateries but hotel itself remains well run"
