“We enjoyed our stay”

“We've been staying at WMF for years, and it always blows us away how pristine, comfortable and peaceful it is. A close second is how well appointed it is, so many things are provided (from a top brand of charcoal for the grills to every kitchen gadget imaginable to robes for the sauna), you really only need to show up with the clothes on your back. The owner, Eric, is responsive and friendly, and the caretakers are equally so. The whole experience is truly a gift!”

“Our family came from different places and stayed together here at the cottage for a wedding. There was plenty of room and four bathrooms was wonderful. The home had everything we needed and we enjoyed our stay in beautiful Buchanan, Virginia! We spent time sitting on the outside porches listening to the sound of the brook.”

“Overall I am pleased with my stay. The location was very close to the airport and convenient to Charlottesville and the Shenandoah National Forest. Space was ample for one person or a couple. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and necessities. Lots of clean towels and linens. It is a basement apartment so it is damp and musty which is to be expected in a basement. The footsteps overhead are quite loud but otherwise it is a quiet location. Stairs outside are a little steep and it is not……
