“The Bakehouse was as described and it was spotless and well equipment with lovely attention to detail. Newtonmore is an ideal location for exploring the highlands. The village has all the amenities you will need to enjoy your stay. The local hotels do not allow dogs in side but we were able to have drinks outside and we had a lovely meal at the Glen Hotel (outside with the dog). We also had a smashing sunday roast at the McInnes House Hotel in Kingussie (Dog friendly). Our hosts couldn't have……

“We had a wonderful time at Gareth's property in Newtonmore! The house is cosy and has everything you need for time away in the highlands. It is a 10 min walk from the train station and a 15 min walk from the store. The location is quite allowing for a very relaxing stay. The house is also only a 20 min walk to the hills with stunning views all around. I highly recommend Gareth's place for your Highland getaway.”

“This is an amazing house with very responsive and kind hosts. We had a rare opportunity to rent the whole house for our group over the New Year. What a great vacation it was! It was 11 of us with a toddlers and 4 kids. Everyone had plenty to do, there are a lot of games to play. Location is fantastic, surrounded by mountains. Views are to die for. “Great location. House manager very helpful. Good house but problems with electrics and plumbing. When we booked the accommodation listed that there were showers located within the house......this was not the case none of the showers worked. When we reported this we were advised that the booking agent should have told us as you had been made aware of the issue....This was a problem as we had 2 elderly people (86 years old) who could not dafely get in and out of the deep baths. I am disappointed……

“Washer instructions were lacking as they could have been proved with a picture of the actual . machine settings.Device washes well. but does not dry clothes. A folding drying rack could have been provided. Better instructions on central heating need tweaking. Place was too hot so we just turned off the system to cool.off. ”

“All facilities were available for our needs. unfortunately the springs in the mattress were broken and there were several lumps which we were laying on which resulted in myself getting a sore back. The sofa bed needed cleaning as was very stained. On entering the apartment the floor was very uneven whilst walking on it because the whole apartment seemed as it was subsiding.”
